Ukrainian Society at Penn
Established in 2003, the society organized presentations by Ukrainian authors, such as Oleksandr Irvanets and Viktor Malarek. Its members regularly meet for Ukrainian Language Lunches and prepare a traditional Ukrainian dinner for the community each semester. They were active participants of the Orange Revolution protests in the Diaspora in 2004 and have come together to commemorate and raise the awareness of such tragedies in Ukrainian history as the Holodomor and the Chornobyl disaster.
The Ukrainian Society at Penn is a member of SUSTA and organized the 2008 SUSTA Conference "Ukraine. On the Path to Europe"
